SAVING GRACE

“GRACE SUPPLIES MAN WITH WHAT GOD IS TO MEET WHAT GOD DEMANDS”

The Grace-gift of salvation is received by faith.
•Eph. 2:8  “
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
•9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

FREE GRACE has saved •We – out of death into the realm of abundant LIFE in Christ Jesus! This was substantiated when we
received His free gift by faith.
•Eph. 2:4 “
But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,5 Even when we were dead in sins,
hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

The book of Ephesians describes our unregenerate condition as “dead in sins”, and then by the quickening of the Holy Spirit,
we were made alive.  In the book of Romans we are described as having been “sinners”, needing forgiveness and justification.
Jesus came to save sinners and to give us life and life more abundantly by His saving grace.

Rom.5:15  “
But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more
the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.

GRACE VS WORKS

Rom.11:6  “
And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is
it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.

GRACE VS THE LAW

Gal. 2:21 “
I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.
Gal.5:4 “
Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.

THE GLORY OF HIS GRACE

By the glory of His grace, He has made us accepted in Christ, the Beloved

Eph.1:3-7 “
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in
heavenly places in Christ: According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should
be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to
himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us
accepted in the beloved. In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the
riches of his grace
"

It is by God’s grace that we could receive Christ as our enjoyment and inheritance, to walk in the glory of His Presence and
power, enjoying Him as our life-supply.

THE RICHES OF HIS GRACE (V.7)

This includes e.g. redemption through His blood (Eph. 1:7/Rom. 3:24), forgiveness of sins (Eph.1:7), justification (Rom.8:
30/Titus 3:7), righteousness (Rom.5:17), sanctification and sonship (John 1:12), which make us heirs of all that God is. (Eph.1:
18)

TRANCENDING SALVATION THROUGH GRACE

Eph. 2:1-3:
We are saved out of:
1) The age of this world,
2) Authority of the ruler of the air, Satan
3) Lust of the flesh in fallen Adam

1) GOD MADE US ALIVE because of His rich mercy and Love – (v.5)
2) RAISED US UP from the position of death: RESURRECTION into NEW LIFE
3) SEATED US together with Him in the heavenlies in Christ: (Eph.2: 6)
4) Gave us ASCENCION power – by the Holy Spirit
5) Gave us HIS AUTHORITY over the enemy (Eph. 1: 21-22) in heading-up power and subduing power IN CHRIST.

THE GRACE OF THE LORD JESUS

•The Triune God embodied in Christ as our provision and joy and INHERITANCE is realized through the bountiful supply of the
Spirit (Phil. 4: 23)
•The Spirit of Jesus Christ enables us to live Christ as our life in all circumstances, to glorify Him and to enjoy Him.
•Christ who was incarnated, crucified, resurrected and ascended IS OUR GRACE-GIFT and we can live through Him, enjoy Him
and express His glory and grace through the power of the Holy Spirit, bringing glory to the Father.
•Christ DECLARED the Father (through the Word, Life, Light, Grace and Truth (Jn.1: 18)  (Gal. 6:18)

BY FAITH ENTER INTO HIS GRACE BY WHICH WE STAND
“Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by
faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.” (Rom. 5: 1-2)
  • The flesh with self power leaves us out of God’s Grace
  • His grace abounds when we surrender to Him as the One who   reigns
  • Faith gives us a solid STAND IN GRACE, where we enjoy Him as our peace in the overcoming, abundant life.

HIS GRACE our SUFFICIENCY in WEAKNESS

II Cor. 12:9-10:9 “
And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most
gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake:
for when I am weak, then am I strong.

This is one of the greatest keys of the overcoming life:  When we realize that we can do nothing without Him (John 15:5), but
are dependent on His grace in every facet of our existence.

  • HIS GRACE is the supply of strength in trials and suffering when we realize our weakness
  • HIS POWER is the ability of GRACE when we are WEAK and DEPENDENT ON HIM ALONE (II Cor. 13:4)
  • CHRIST’S GRACE COVERING (tabernacles over us like a tent) when we declare our WEAKNESS!

GIFTS given by GRACE – according to FAITH

Rom.12:6-8 “
Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy
according to the proportion of faith; 7 Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching; Or
he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that
sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.

The nine gifts of the Spirit and the 5 offices of ministry are all gifts of grace.

BEING GOOD STEWARDS OF THE MANIFOLD GRACE BY THE GIFTS RECEIVED

I Pet. 4:10 “
As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the
manifold grace of God.

THE GRACE OF GIVING

“Moreover, brethren, we do you to wit of the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia;
How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their
liberality.” (II Cor. 8:1-2)
  • Liberal, generous giving (especially when someone has a need himself) is due to the grace of God.
  • Paul exhorts the Corinthians to abound in this ”grace” too (v.7), as the Macedonians did! (V.1)
  • He commends their readiness to will, but exhorts them to not only will but to “perform” what they have willed – to give as
proof of their love (v.8 and 24).
  • Giving (even when we are in trials of affliction and deep poverty), with abundance of joy, abounding in riches of liberality,
it surely is proof – not only of our love for the churches, but of our trust in God, who works it in us by His grace!
  • Never buy the lie of the enemy that you cannot afford to give. It is true that you cannot afford NOT to give – even if you
    have little.
  • God sets us up for blessings (by His grace) every time the Holy Spirit nudges us to give – bountifully, joyfully and
liberally! Glory to God! It is one of those things that seem to be foolishness to men, but is wisdom with God!

See to it that you have plenty of seed in the ground and you will always have your needs met. Give to the hungry and the poor
and needy and the widows and orphans and do it with a joyous heart! And never give under pressure or obligation! Give by the
unction of the Holy Spirit.

  • We give by God’s grace into His grace, and by grace we stand! Hallelujah!

“ALL” GRACE ABOUNDING FOR PROVISION

II Cor 9:8: “
And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may
abound to every good work
”.

God’s abounding “all” grace will fulfill our every need in everything!  Hallelujah!

When God’s face is shining upon you, His grace abounds.

GRACE AND FAVOUR ARE PARTNERS

God’s grace and favor brings promotion and wealth.
Favor is God's goodwill and acceptance that provides spiritual benefits that flow from Him.

GRACE TO MOVE MOUNTAINS

It is by the Spirit of Grace that mountains are removed.

Zech. 4: 6-7 “
This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith
the LORD of hosts. Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring
forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it.

(Mark 11: 22-24)

When we have entered through faith into His grace, we have a solid standing (Rom.5: 2) from where we can speak to the
mountains and command them to fall into the sea.

GRACE FOR MIRACLES

ACTS 4: 33 “
And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was
upon them all.

GREAT GRACE WAS UPON THEM! Acts 4:29-35
A) Boldness to speak the Word under persecution
B) No lack
C) Miracles, signs & wonders

COMING TO THE THRONE OF GRACE IN TIME OF NEED

Heb. 4:15-16 “
For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all
points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may
obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

The throne mentioned here is of both God and the Lamb (Rev. 22:1).  Christ is the connection point between our spirit and the
Throne of Grace.  He is the ladder that joins earth with heaven and heaven with earth and through His intercession as our High
Priest, we receive grace in time of need.

GROWING IN GRACE and in the KNOWLEDGE of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (II Pet. 3:18)

GROWING IN GRACE

We grow in grace by drinking into the Spirit of Life and Power, by eating of the bread of revelation and by spending time in His
Presence in worship.

II Pet. 1: 5:
Add to your faith:
Diligence
Virtue
Knowledge
Self control
Perseverance
Godliness
Brotherly kindness
Love

This growing in grace will also be evident in our speech and conversation and in turn bring grace to our hearers.

Col 4:6 “
Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every
man.

God’s grace towards us will return to Him in the form of faith and love:

I Tim.1:14 “
And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.

GROW IN THE REVELATION KNOWLEDGE OF WHO CHRIST IS

II Pet.1:2 “
Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord”.

This is to grow by the enjoyment of the gift of Christ and the realization of Truth through the Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation.
The more time we spend in fellowship with the Lord, the deeper we look into the glory of His being and the more we grow unto
maturity in Christ.

Eph. 4:13 “
Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto
the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ:

Phil. 3: 9
John 17:3
Eph. 1:17

LOVE and HUMILITY IN US OPENS THE WAY FOR HIS GRACE TO MINISTER TO OTHERS

As we present ourselves as servants of the Most High God, we minister His grace to others in lowliness of heart BY HIS GRACE
and in thankful love for what He has done for us.

WE HAVE NOT RECEIVED HIS GRACE IN VAIN

I Cor. 15:10 “
But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I
laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

This passage denotes the proof and testimony that God’s grace has brought the Apostle Paul into the resurrection power of the
Holy Spirit, enjoying the grace of His life-gift to the full.

OUR NEED FOR CONTINUED GRACE

Heb.13:25 “
Grace be with you all. Amen.

We need continued grace to understand and to enjoy the fullness of Christ as our Gift of grace in order to run the race of faith
set before us that we me reach the goal and receive the prize of the high calling in Christ Jesus.
