It’s amazing how God, in His infinite wisdom and grace, speaks to us in our dreams.
It all lies in the “asking”. Sometimes there are things in our lives which we cannot fathom and have no answers for, but as soon as we ask God to give us the revelation and understanding to unearth the mystery, He does so in the most profound ways.
For God may speak in one way, or in another,
Yet man does not perceive it.
15 In a dream, in a vision of the night,
When deep sleep falls upon men,
While slumbering on their beds,
16 Then He opens the ears of men,
And seals their instruction.
17 In order to turn man from his deed,
And conceal pride from man,
18 He keeps back his soul from the Pit,
And his life from perishing by the sword.
Job 33:14-18
As I was studying the instruction in Matthew 5:13 in being the salt of the earth, I asked God to give me more insight and revelation. He spoke to me in a dream regarding the intentions of my heart and the way in which I am bringing it across to others. When someone has experienced much rejection, their perception might be tainted and our good intentions might be twisted by the enemy. Therefore we need to be consciously leaning into the Spirit to stay in the flow of Wisdom and grace, so that our speech be seasoned with salt. As it is “tasted” by others, it will have the flavor of grace.
It all amounts to one thing: To let our speech bring grace to the hearers.
“Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.”
Colossians 4:6
”Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.”
The Spirit of Prophecy has the quality of edification, exhortation and comfort. (1 Cor.14:3) As we perceive from the perspective of God, we only see the end-result of the glory of God’s plans for our brothers and sisters.
The bride of Christ, being purified with salt, carries the meekness of wisdom in the authority of His Word.
