Arise and Shine the glory of the Lord!

Posted in Elsabe's Blog at 4:39 pm by Administrator

“When you are saturated in the glory of God’s Presence (Zion) in worship, being “Presence” minded (thinking on things above – Col.3:1-3), His glory makes a way for you through every obstacle (going before you (Is.45:2/Micah 2:13), it is your rear-guard (Is.52:12/58:8) and the canopy (Is.4:5) of protection over you. It attracts God’s favor (and therefore that of man) (Is.60:3) and grace and He is glorified!”
I am not talking about the law of attraction, given to the maxim “like attracts like” according to New Thought philosophy.

We always have to use the Word of God as the plumb line?
The question is, “Does God’s glory light have the power to attract?”
So here it is: Is. 60:1: “Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee”.
We are to arise (out of death and slumber – Eph. 5:14) as shining lights, because of the glory of the Lord risen upon us. We are now in a time frame in which darkness is increasing in the earth and “great darkness the people”, as was prophesied by the Prophet Isaiah.
“For behold, darkness will cover the earth and deep darkness the peoples; But the LORD will rise upon you And His glory will appear upon you.” (Is. 60.2)
As darkness is increasing, God wants His children to rise up in the resurrection power of His Spirit, knowing our identity in Christ in mature sonship, shining His glory light into darkness without fear as overcomers by the blood of the Lamb, the Word of our testimony and the fact that we do not love our lives unto the death (Rev.12:11)
“The Lord will rise upon you and His glory will appear upon you.” Having become a house of worship, we have come to Zion in the spirit (the city of God, the heavenly Jerusalem….His reigning Presence) Heb. 12:22-29).
We already have this glory light in us (by being born again), but we need to “let it shine” in greater measure, by walking in the light of His countenance and by serving one another in agape love, growing up into the fulness of the measure of the stature of Christ. Light and love is the clothing of the Bride of Christ! The more we get saturated in worship, the Word and prayer, the greater our light will shine as we are being transformed into His image. (2 Cor.3:18). His glory shining through us is God expressed in all His nature, attributes, power and might.
The Attraction of the Glory
Is.60:3 states: “And the gentiles shall come to thy light and kings to the brightness of thy rising” with a lot more added in favor and blessings (from verse 4-11).* (See footnote)
The glory of God’s presence shines so beautifully that it will cause people to stare at you and start conversations with you to find out what they are attracted to in you – a sure way to cause you to testify of His goodness and grace and take in the harvest! Those clothed in Christ will walk in completeness in all 9 gifts of the Spirit (1 Cor.12), inundated with the 7 fold Spirit (Is. 11) and their fruit will remain! (John 15)
At the same time they will do great exploits in explosive miracles, signs and wonders following. This is how He shines through us and this “shining” will attract all kinds of people to us (verse 3) – Gentiles (to be saved) and even kings (who will be looking for prophetic direction).
“Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached.”
And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me. (Luke 7:22-23)
Yes, surely offenses will also come because there are scoffers and those who are enemies of the cross of Jesus Christ, but the priesthood that is growing into the fulness of the measure of the stature of Christ (Eph.4:13) is going to walk in unprecedented power, saturated in the glory-presence, displaying it like Jesus did.
*Footnote:
“Zion” in the Old Testament refers figuratively to Israel as the people of God (Isaiah 60:14). In the New Testament, Zion refers to God’s spiritual kingdom where He reigns. As the OT beams the prophetic light into the future of the New Covenant, both apply.

Notes on the mind – Part 1

Notes on the mind – Part 1

When Lazarus died, Martha’ pre-occupation with the facts prevented her to receive the full provision in the Word of the Lord, saying “I am the resurrection and the life”.

Jubilee Bible 2000
“Jesus said unto her, Did I not say unto thee that if thou wouldest believe thou shalt see the glory of God?”

When we lift our gaze, looking away from the natural into the all-inclusive provision of the abundant Life in Christ, we engage with His miracle power that is available by faith.

Having you heart filled with the consciousness of what you don’t have, can’t afford, won’t ever be able to do, etc creates a poverty mindset, causing you to go into a downward spiral. Out of this abundance of negativity the mouth speaks, cursing your future with failure, lack and destruction. But when you look “away” unto Jesus, attaching your faith to His promises, you can switch to the abundance of His provision in Christ, according to the riches of His glory.

I once was a captive to the mindset of poverty, and only being able to see what I didn’t have, I continually spoke into existence exactly that which I didn’t want. I never realized it until someone told me that I had a poverty mindset. To say the least I was not impressed, but thought that this lady had great audacity to say that to me. By the grace of God I took a hard look at myself and realized that she was right! The truth shocked me out of my self-made prison house and as I listened to myself speaking, I could hear the destruction and death that came out of my mouth, creating the exact opposite of what I desired.

“Death and life is in the power of the mouth and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof” (Prov.18:21). Ouch! Suddenly the sword of the Lord cut through my blinders, separating flesh and spirit, joints and marrow and penetrated right through to my heart.

Now it was decision time to choose to see as God sees and to speak only the Word of God, which has life in it.

I had an eye opener, but I had to be renewed in the spirit of my mind. Then to undo the damage I have done by my speech, empowering the enemy to steal from me and my household. A turnaround was imminent!

Abundance of life is a gift, purchased with the precious blood of Jesus. This requires open eyes of our understanding to see what He has made available for us – a life of victory by the power of the Holy Spirit.

And of course, then it requires action on our part to receive it for ourselves. We simply have to tap into His glorious supply by faith, stepping out of the fleshly, limited thinking into the Spirit-supply, the mind of Christ, training the tongue under His power to be used as a creative force of life for His glory! Hallelujah!

My Roemtaal!

Posted in Afrikaanse Gedagtes, Elsabe's Blog at 3:20 pm by Administrator

1. BLYE VERSEEKRING, JESUS IS MYN,
O, WATTER VREUGDE, HEERLIK EN REIN!
WEDERGEBORE, REIN DEUR SY BLOED,
SMAAK EK SY VREDE IN MY GEMOED.

KOOR:
DIT IS MY ROEMTAAL, DIT IS MY LIED,
LOF WAT EK JESUS EWIG SAL BIED.
DIT IS MY ROEMTAAL, DIT IS MY LIED,
LOF WAT EK JESUS EWIG SAL BIED

2. VOLLE BERUSTING, HOE SWAAR MY LOT,
HEIL’GE VERRUKKING, BLYE GENOT;
ENG’LE WAT HERWAARTS BOODSKAPPE DRA,
TYDINGS VAN LIEFDE EN VRYE GENA.

3. VOLLE VERSEEKRING, VREDE EN RUS.
HEERLIK VAN JESUS LIEFDE BEWUS;
MET MY GELOOFSOOG OPWAARTS GEHOU,
RUS EK IN JESUS LIEFDE EN TROU.

Being watchmen over our Minds

Posted in Impressions on my travels at 7:06 pm by Administrator

Thoughts are constantly shifting due to the input coming to our senses.  We have the responsibility to steward our thoughts well by the discipline of being watchmen and doorkeepers over our temples.

The scenery is changing “on the go” with different people crossing our paths, carrying different contents.

Be diligent to discard the static of the negative which has the potential of contaminating your mind, stealing the atmosphere of the glory.

Think on Phil4:8 and purpose to give God glory in all thoughts and conversations, letting go of anything negative, but purposefully releasing God’s glory as you focus on Him, on His goodness and grace.
